Photography isn't my first career. I attended Nursing school and worked as a nurse up until my second son was born. I then made the decision to become a stay at home mom, which lead me to pick up my "nice" camera and finally learn how to use it! It quickly became a passion and I wanted to help other mothers capture these precious times in our lives.
I moved to Phoenix Arizona during the summer (what was I thinking?!?) of 2012 from Cleveland, Ohio. Soon after, I met my husband who I married in June 2015. After having two miscarriages, we had our first son Jordan in 2017, our second son Connor in 2019 and we are expecting baby number 3 to arrive June 2021.
There are so many that are just perfect!!! We will treasure forever!!!"
Ok, maybe I'm already "grown up" BUT I've dedicated over 12 years to the medical field. From being a tech to being a Nurse, I have always been fascinated by the human body! Since meeting my doula (who helped deliver both boys and will for this one coming) she has completely opened my eyes into the world of birth! And I.AM.OBSESSED! So if you have any questions at all about birth or want to talk about your experience, I'm all ears!
Shows about the wars, treasures, past presidents, the pioneers of America... I love it all! I wouldn't say I'm a huge history buff, but I do like to watch it. I love learning about our past and how we became the country and world we are!
I am so grateful to have been blessed with two healthy little boys! They are sweet, smart and crazy little boys! They are almost 17 months apart and wow! that was a wild ride in the beginning!
We unfortunately weren't always so lucky. Before Jordan was born we had two miscarriages. These were the hardest times in our lives. We think about those babies everyday and I will always cherish those weeks we got to spend having them grow inside me.
Remember that? Back in December 2012! We like to joke that it turned out to be the end of our single life... even though it took me awhile to finally agree to go out with him! :P We have been happily married since June 19, 2015!
If I had to choose one food for the rest of my life, it would be pizza, specifically pepperoni and banana peppers! I had to go dairy free for my son, who is highly allergic to dairy as I nursed FOR 16 MONTHS! It was so hard! haha The day his doctor told me to start introducing it back into my diet to see if he could tolerate it that way, I walked out of that office and ordered some!!
I want to empower moms and make them feel pampered for all the extra work they are doing. As a new mom, I know how stressful it is to plan outfits for the entire family, pick a date and time that works for everyone, find the perfect location and hope no one has a meltdown. I strive to make my sessions stress-free! Let me do all this work for you! During a newborn session, I want you to feel at home- kick up your feet and enjoy a HOT cup of coffee. You deserve it!
