Your session begins long before we meet at the studio. The Session Fee secures your date on my calendar and initiates our full-service planning process. It covers our time together and the complete planning of your experience - from wardrobe styling, complimentary hair and makeup, to the session itself. Digital files and physical artwork are a separate investment, allowing you the flexibility to choose what best fits your family’s needs after you’ve seen your final images.

Every family’s story, needs, and artwork goals are unique — and that’s why at your in person gallery reveal and ordering appointment, I will help you select artwork for your home and/or digital images so you know and fully understand all your options. The majority of our clients earn their digital images complimentary with the purchase of their artwork.

Following your session, we will meet back up for your ordering appointment where you will be presented a slideshow with a curated gallery of your 40+ fully edited images. You have the flexibility to choose the artwork that best fits your family’s needs - whether you prefer an Heirloom Album to pass down or a house filled with custom frames. You choose what feels right — and I will make your vision come to life.
The Tangible Artwork
Once you have viewed your gallery, you will decide how you want to bring your favorite images into your home. Prior to your ordering appointment, you can send me a photo of your wall and I will mock up exactly how the frames will look in your own space.

The Process
Step one
The Booking & Preparation
Your session date is officially reserved with a completed Session Fee invoice and signed contract. Once booked, I will guide you through every detail of the preparation process.
You will receive a personalized questionnaire so I can learn more about your family’s unique dynamics and priorities.
We will meet at the studio a week or so prior for your wardrobe and planning consultation. This is where you will try on dresses and we will pick outfits for the rest of the family. Here, we will also look at examples of artwork and get an idea of what you envision doing with your photos.
Step two
During the Session
On the day of your session, simply arrive and exhale; I will take care of everything.
My hair and makeup artist will meet you at the studio or your home to give you the perfect glam.
During the session, I will guide your family through the best light and most flattering settings, providing gentle direction and feedback throughout our time together.
My goal is to create a relaxed environment where your only job is to enjoy your children while I capture the magic.

The Reveal and Ordering
3-4 weeks after your session you will view your images in a slideshow set to music. Together, we will select your favorite images to create your custom framed artwork and heirloom album.
Your images are meant to be enjoyed tangibly. Your children will be overjoyed when they see these in your home. Or printed for their own bedroom!

Do you help with styling and what to wear?
Absolutely. I provide everything moms, children and babies need for wardrobe. We will also go over what your partner should wear and I can send you links on what to purchase.
I am here to help you coordinate colors and textures that will look timeless on your walls.

Can i buy just the digital files ?
Yes, you certainly can. However, most of my families find that they get the most value out of purchasing artwork. Most clients get their digital gallery free with purchase of artwork.

I know how overwhelming it can be to choose favorites. That's why we will sit together during your ordering appointment and go through each image throughly and compare images to pick the perfect ones to carefully curate the perfect look.

do you offer payment plans ?
Absolutely. I believe that every mother deserves to have her family’s legacy preserved in print. For our Heirloom Collections and larger artwork orders, we offer flexible, interest-free payment plans. We can break your investment into two or three monthly installments to ensure your portraits fit comfortably within your family’s budget.

While our signature sessions offer the most complete experience, we host shorter Simplicity Sessions on select dates throughout the year. These 20-minute milestone events are released first to our email list and First Year Collective members.
